Read 2 John 1 in the app

1The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

NII OKAI · 2 John 1:226 December 2022

The truth which dwelleth in us and shall be with us forever is Jesus.

60 years earlier, the truth which dwelleth with us and shall be in us was and is the Holy Spirit.

John 14:17 KJV
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

What is the link between these? Jesus is in us by the Holy Spirit forever, and now in the end of the age, he that is in us shall be with us forever.

Does not that therefore imply that Jesus is the Spirit of truth, who is the Holy Spirit?

NII OKAI · 2 John 1:226 December 2022

Interestingly enough, this truth in us, which is the Spirit of truth, i.e. the Holy Spirit, shall be with us in the person of Jesus, but that does not mean the Spirit will cease living in us.

Same vein, the truth dwelt with us in the person of Jesus and shall be with us forever, i.e. the Holy Ghost 👻 coming on the day of Pentecost.

Yet Jesus liveth on still, even after he came into us through the Holy Ghost.

This indeed is a mystery.

NII OKAI · 2 John 1:226 December 2022

If the truth dwells in us and the truth is Jesus Christ (the way, the truth and the life),
then who is it that dwells in us if not Jesus —
the living truth?

Then how about the Holy Ghost, who also dwells in us as the Spirit of truth — which Spirit is Jesus,

and the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

NII OKAI · 2 John 1:227 December 2022

The truth in us is Jesus... For he is the way, the truth and the life...

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The truth in us is how we become born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the word of truth...

1 Peter 1:23 KJV
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

That same seed... 🌱 which did not need man to be birthed but brought about the virgin birth,

brought about our rebirth, our being born again.

Again, this seed which brought a full-grown Jesus to Jordan, and was baptized by the Holy Ghost, brings us into baptism of the Holy Ghost.

As first seen on the day of Pentecost.

We also receive the Holy Ghost after the same pattern.

So in us is the truth, of which seed we 🌱 were born again, our spirits being new.

And now we have the Holy Ghost; we literally have become duplicates of the Christ Jesus.

So this truth which lives in us, not just lives in us forever but actually birthed us,

him we shall see and meet with him forever.

And we have the Holy Spirit of promise also in us forever.

We are a new creature, clones of the Lord. No wonder we are sons of God as Jesus is.

For we are made of the same matter and composition that Jesus is.

😢

Sons of God, yet live so weak and beggarly.

No wonder Jesus said,

John 16:12-13 KJV
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The whole born-again, Spirit-filled, Gentile-inclusive experience had to be unpacked in bite sizes for the entire Christian experience to be possible.

Lest it be too confusing.

So Jesus unpacked some and left the rest for the Holy Ghost to do, so he does and continues on until this day.

3Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

5And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

6And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

12Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

13The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
